1) Tomorrow, March 8th 2008 is our 5 year wedding anniversary (it really doesn't feel like it has been five years, feels more like 3)
2) This year I turn 26!!! and Jer 27!!! What!?!?! I guess when I was younger I just couldn't ever picture myself older than like 21. And certainly the younger Amy, with my Utah cultural upbringing, would probably expect the Amy now to have a couple children by now. and
3) My youngest sister turned 20 this month. I was 20 when I got married....so that just freaks me out!!
But enough about time....lets talk about the most exciting week I have had in 6 months.
It all started on Sunday at church...
So I go to Sunbeams with my friend Natalie for 2 reasons:
1) You just can't teach sunbeams on your own and Natalie doesn't have a partner called to help her and since all I am is the organist and pianist for Relief Society (and every other church function) I volunteered to help and
2) I really don't like Sunday School so instead of skipping it all together I go to primary :) (sound familiar mama?)
Anywho, so one of the little girls, Phebe for those who know her, wasn't feeling so good, she had a tummy ache. Well about five minutes into the lesson all of the sudden she starts to moan and breathe really deeply...And then came the saliva. And I was like "Nan she's got the saliva! she is gonna puke", and sure enough right when Natalie got her to the garbage can she threw up...a few times. Crazy thing is, after that she was fine...practically bouncing off the walls. Now I have been in primary alot...with my mom when I was a teenager and didn't want to go to Young Women, and for three years with Jer. Never have I had a kid throw up. I have plenty of other hysterical stories involving bodily functions, but never a throw up story....thanks phebe, I think I have been exposed to just about everything now.
Monday and Tuesday were non events: Had a test at school, and a volleyball game which we lost.
Wednesday however was a very exciting day.
Now I don't watch a lot of tv, but I do have a few shows that I must watch. One of those shows is Project Runway. So this season I have been rooting for Christian, AND HE WON!!!! Not that I have any idea whatsoever about high fashion, but I always loved his stuff and he was incredibly skilled. But more than anything I would have to say his personality was the most entertaining thing about him. He is about the size of a piece of asparagus. And had this very spitfire attitude so he always had something entertaining to say.

Thursday was great for 2 reasons:
1) I finally got my self a job. I have been interviewing for a few weeks and have received a few job offers. I actually got offered a position as an auditor for Tiffany and Co. but I guess no matter what area you go into with retail, the pay is pretty pathetic. When I worked for Abercrombie, they definately screwed their store employees on the wages, and I always figured corporate employees were paid more. I was hoping Tiffany's would be different given that it is a luxury item, not to mention a billion dollar company, but retail is retail and their offer was less than I was making at my prior job...Needless to say, I turned it down.
I did however, accept a position at Quest Diagnostics, if you have ever had blood tests done, their is a good chance Quest was the lab that did the testing. Quest is another billion dollar company, and it has been around for a while, which means I won't be getting laid off again. Unfortunately I will have to travel again, such is the life of an auditor, but I am okay with the travel. Unfortunately it is primarily domestic and very little international, so no more exotic trips to Europe for me.
2) Going back to my obsession with American Idol...the greatest thing happened on Thursday. Danny-your-not-even-important-enough-for-me-to-remember-your-last-name did not make the top twelve. Praise Everything!!!! We no longer have to watch and listen this person. Below is his last performance on American Idol. I could not stop laughing and in no way could have ever taken this guy seriously. First of all there is his normal voice (watch the clip and I don't think I need to say anything else about his normal voice), next he is trying to be all seductive with the camera (which makes me want to hurl), and lastly what is up with his dance moves. He did these weird thrusts with the music, except he was just a little off the beat. It was just comical.
So all in all a pretty eventful week.

Happy Anniversary! And congrats on the job. Great week!
Happy Anniversary! Ames and Jer and yes I agree that it doesn't seem like oyu guys have been married 5 years almost as much as I am not 20 and I don't even want to think that you were such age when you were married. Oh weird. Anyway Happy 5th Anniversary. You're gonna have to up the Celin Dion Jer! or...was that for her brithday? whatever.
Hey, congratulations on your job! And your 5-year love-fest!
(And surviving the 'sunbeam incident'-- yikes...)
You are so funny! Congrats on the Job!! That is awesome! And 26 isn't so bad, 25 was harder for me than when I turned 26 in oct. 5 years of marriage is a HUGE milestone!! That is awesome, and we can start the "over five years married mormon with no offspring" club! And yay about American idol, and Christian, it has been a good week hasn't it!!
Ooooops, sorry this is a little late but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Your right, it was a good week . . . Christian winning (very happy about that!), buh bye Danny boy (extactic about that) and you and Jerame celebrating 5 years! Congrats you two, we love ya!
Ugh. I totally forgot how much I could not stand Danny until I watched that video. The only bad part about him leaving that week was that we had to listen to him sing again! OMG, that is just TMTH. Haha.
