Saturday in the 'Burbs

So.....long story short, I hate my job. But luckily my old boss has offered me position at a company called Catalent, located in Somerset, NJ, in the suburbs of New Jersey.
I have not made the absolute decision to accept this offer because Somerset is about 40 minutes away from my home, whereas my current job is only 20 minutes. So yesterday, to ease my woes about the commute to this location, Jer and I decided to drive down to the location just to see what the communte would be like. And I am happy to report, that it was not too bad. Granted we did it during the middle of the day on a saturday so I don't really know how much traffic is involved with this.

Anyway, we of course brought the pooch with us (but left our spatula's and garden hoses at home). I figured we would be going to an area with more open space so we were bound to find somewhere to play freely with him without someone bugging us to put him on a leash or having to fight for space to play at the park.

Now I know that I promised not to just post pictures of my dog on this, but we did get some good actions shots that I would like to share. The Catalent building is in a big area with a bunch of corporate offices, and since this is suburbia NJ, these building have massive grounds with lots of grassy areas. So we drove around until we found a building that was for lease, so we wouldn't get in trouble for being on someone's private property. We found a building with a huge water run off reservoir that still had some water in it from the recent rain storms. It wasn't so deep that Ozzy had to swim, but he was able to jump and run through the water. He had a lot of fun. We had a lot of fun watching him. We did not see a single person. It was great.

Unfortunately we had to come back home to Urban NJ. It was sad, we had a good time being outside with nobody else. Oh how we wish we could move there now.
