A Couple More Pics

Zac decided he was busting out of this joint and took his walker to the streets.

 Made for very dirty feet.

Zac likes to hang with dad.  It is one of his favorite things to do.

No, this is not San Antonio!  We were in UT in February and we thought Zac needed to experience snow.  He didn't really mind it at first, and then he was cold....of course we don't have any winter clothes for him, that could have been part of the problem.

Jer is 30

So Jer turned the big 3-0 last week.

He got his windows tinted...something he has wanted for YEARS.  They are so dark.  I got the darkest you could legally go.  Now Jer is totally Gangsta!

We went out to dinner twice.  Once just the 2 of us, and the the second time with our friends the Ashmore's.

So with all of that Jer figured that was how his birthday was being celebrated.  Little did he know, that I had a surprise party planned for him on Friday.

We had the party at a park (mostly because I didn't want all of the people in my house, nothing for all the kids to do).  The trick was getting Jer to the park.  The day before I mentioned to him that Zac and I had gone to this park and there was a swing there that was really cool and that Zac had a blast on it so I wanted to take Jer there to see it.

Friday came, and Jer spent most of the day doing yard work.  I had to get him out of the house by 5:30 so people could come and get the grill and some of the supplies I had hidden away.  At 4:45, Jer was still going strong on yard work.  Thankfully, little man was up from his afternoon nap and getting frisky, so I was able to use him as my excuse to stop yard work and get us out of the house.

On the way to the park, Jer wanted to stop and get a Mtn. Dew, but I wouldn't stop because we needed to get to the party.  He was starting to think things were a little strange.  We get to the park and I park the car in from of one of our friends trucks.  Jer not realizing this was their truck says to me "you are going to block this car in", right past the truck is the pavilion full of our friends that Jer didn't even notice.  So I just looked at him and said "happy birthday" and pointed towards the pavilion.  He saw all the people and was surprised and happy.

We had a good time.  Fried up some burgers and hot dogs.  I got Jer a cake, but forgot to bring candles...so we improvised.

Happy 30th Old Man!

More of the faces (and hair) of Zac

Baked Beans is great for hair styling!

The Park

We have started to take Zac to the park.

So far all he really cares about are the swings.

He especially likes the swings when he is able to kick you (or at least when you make him think he kicked you)

Something was very interesting.

9 Months

As of April 8th...Zac is 9 months!!

Here he is at 9 months...showing what chewed up Cheerios looks like.

At 9 months, Zac is 28" tall (only the 35th percentile...he seems taller to me) and weighs a whopping 20lbs, 7oz. (50th percentile, fatty...but not too fatty)...proportionate.

Zac has his 2 bottom teeth (has had them since January).  He has one tooth on top (that we can't decide which tooth it actually is, central or lateral).  The same tooth on the other side is working it's way out.

What has 9 months brought us....

That's right...A stander.  He pulls himself up ALL. THE. TIME.

That's all he really wants to do...Stand.

When he is ready to get up from sleeping, this is how we find him in his crib.

Also, what this standing in crib has brought us, is teeth marks on the railing of the crib.  Little man stands up and gnaws on the crib with his 2 little bottom teeth.  *sigh*  The crib is from walmart so I am not upset about it.

Today, 4/22/2011, our little man has decided that he is going to crawl like a normal person...I didn't think he would ever do it, he has been army crawling for months and is really fast at it.  But today he went a good 7 feet with a normal crawl.

I took this picture today and can't believe how old he is looking.  This looks more like a child than a baby.  Where is the time going!! (Sorry for the boogers, he is teething and that nose is like a gushing fountain).
