The New Face of Trouble

The only picture that requires any explanation is the middle picture.  That red mark on the face is a small scrape from when face met cement on one of his trips through the dog door.

10 Months

Here is Zac at 10 months.

This kid is a crack up.  He has such a strong personality already.

Things Zac likes:
  • His mommy and daddy of course.  When Jer comes home from work Zac just wants him.  When I go to get him out of his crib, or if he is hanging with the sitter and sees me, he just gives the biggest grin.
  • Fruit.  This kid loves fruit, as long as it is in a baby food container.  Don't you dare give him the real thing.
  • Jerky.  Yes you read that right.  He loves to suck on jerky.  Really, anything Jer is eating, he wants to eat too.
  • The Little Blue Truck.  It is his favorite book.  That and Hop on Pop and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
  • Baths.  Still loves these.
  • Being naked.  Yup.  Naked.   Is this a little boy thing?
  • Walks in the stroller
  • Noise.  He loves to bang on things...the more noise, the better (must be Jer's kid)
  • Baby Einstein's - Baby Noah
  • Ozzy
  • Shoes and cords.  He likes to eat shoes.  All shoes must be kept behind closed doors for this purpose.
  • Looking out the window.  Loves to see new things.
  • Being tossed and flipped around by dad (mom is not strong enough)
  • Yogart
  • Being outside
  • His bed
Things Zac hates:
  • Getting his diaper changed
  • Vegetables
  • When people walk away from him...melt down guaranteed
  • Sitting still
  • The first 5 seconds of being in his car seat
I know there are more things that he hates, but I cannot think of them right now.

Here are a few more recent pics of Zac.

Sleeping with Dad after waking up at 6am.
Ozzy...ALWAYS around during meal times.

Today in Zac History

So this morning, Zac decided "Hey.  Today, I am going to start walking".

He started cruising the furniture a few weeks ago, and last week started cutting the corners between the couches.  We tried to see if he could walk between Jer and I, but we were pretty close together so it was more of a graceful fall than walking, so we didn't think he was that close.

It was closer than we thought.  This morning, he walked a good 3 feet with Jer (I didn't see this), then at church, I was holding him while he was standing and he let go of my hand an walked from one side of the isle to the other.  I wanted to stop sacrament meeting and just yell out "did everybody see that!!!".  A little bit later he walked a good 8 feet on his own.  And has just been alternating between walking and crawling the rest of the day!!!

This is crazy!!! I wanted to get this documented so that I would remember...today May 22 2011, my son at age 10.5 months is walking.

Here is a video for your enjoyment.
