Here's a Picture

There you go. That's my 17 week belly. I think the shadow makes it look bigger.

So it doesn't really feel real yet. If I didn't have pictures of the child and hadn't been sick, I don't think I would believe that I was pregnant. I went to the doctor yesterday and she mentioned everything looks fine and said that I should feel it moving pretty soon and within a few weeks there will be no doubt there is something in there. Kind of looking forward to the alien type movements in the belly.

I am starting to feel much better lately. I still get nauseous from time to time, but not ALL the time so I'll take it!

I am still tossing my cookies every now and then but only when I cough on an empty stomach....and (from what I learned this morning) eating hot eggs on an empty stomach (don't worry, it didn't make me hate eggs. After throwing up I was able to come back and finish my breakfast...well most of it).

I am also starting to get my appetite back, which is a REALLY good thing. I have missed food. And you can tell. My doctor actually got mad at me and told me to start eating.

I am going to wait until my face looks presentable again before you get to see a full body shot. I still look malnourished in the face...add the fact that I am horribly pale (pale olive skinned people...not so pretty), the hormonal zits (that I think are finally subsiding), and my braces (yeah I got braces...again), I look like a pubescent 14 year old. Sooooo Hot!

We have made a couple of big purchases so far, with the first BIG purchase being a Dyson vacuum. Let me just tell you this is the best vacuum ever! Especially if you are a pet owner. They are pretty pricey, but I got it $100 off on a Christmas Sale. Our vacuum was working okay, but never seemed to get all of Ozzy's hair out of the carpet. I told Jer that if we are going to have a little one cruising around, I don't want the kid to be hacking up hairballs. So we got the Dyson....Awesome! I was sold after the first use...so much hair AND dust!

Next we have bought a crib and mattress. It was really weird walking around the baby section and actually looking at stuff to buy.

The other big purchases we have got in the pipeline are a dresser, glider and ottoman, pump, and a swing. We are getting lucky with the stroller and car seat and bassinett as other people will be giving them to us. Huge money savings there!

Am I missing any of the big purchases? Some people would say changing table, but I don't want one. I have plenty of diaper changing surfaces.

Once I know what we are having (on February 11th!) I think it may be easier to start buying some of the smaller things as well.

So it has been a few months

Well, no posts have happened lately because I have been spending most of my time, with the exception of a few work trips, here...

And here...

And unfortunately, too much time here...

All because of this little thing...

So yeah. That is little Baby H. He/She is about 3 months old now and already making my life a living hell (I thought they weren't supposed to do that until they were teenagers?). The last couple of months have been MISERABLE! Nausea and back aches all. the. time.

I do think I am on the mend now...I have been doing okay for about week with the exception of 2 horrible days and the dreaded first trimester is almost at an end...one more week...yippee!

But enough about that, some people would be curious if there is anything showing yet, but alas, due to my long skinny body and the fact that I have lost weight, there really isn't anything to show yet. But I am not ashamed to show my pregnant self, so when there is something to see, I will show it.

Baby H was our christmas present to our family...can you think of a better present than the "gift of life"? Oh how I wish I could have gotten Jer's Mom's reaction on video. Priceless. She screamed at the top of her lungs and cried. I was expecting the crying, but the scream was completely shocking.

Pictures From Ireland

Thursday, November 5, 2009

So here are some of the highlights from Ireland. Since I work most of the time when I travel, I don't get too much time for sightseeing.

I was able to see my brother in law that is serving a mission in Dublin, so that was quite exciting. I am not a big picture taker, but we did go to a town called Glendalough one afternoon and it was really pretty so I took a few pictures.

Enjoy...

So where did we end up?????

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS!
(or Te-Has as I like to say)
Actually, we don't live IN San Antonio, but in a suburb city called Live Oak. And for convenience sake I am just going to say SA town from now on.

After months and months of searching for the right job and location, traveling here and there, living in Jer's parent's basement (thanks Mama and Papa H) Jer finally found the right fit. He is working in yet another suburb city of SA town called Universal City, Texas (or UC as the locals say).

Jer is loving his job and living in Te-Has so far. I can't say that I love it yet, but that is only because we moved in and 1 week later I had to pack up and go to Ireland for 7 days. (But really, I do like it....I just need a chance to actually live there in order to LOVE it).

As far as the dog is concerned, he LOVES it! Jer only works 1.2 miles from our house so he is able to come home for lunch everyday and play a quick game of frisbee. Could life BE any better for a dog that loves to play?!

Well I definitely have a lot of making up to do on this here blog of mine. I have some pictures that desperately need posting (beautiful Ireland anyone?). But until then "y'all".....remember the Alamo and "Don't Mess with Texas!"

Pure Awesomeness

Not the best picture quality. Jer was such a cute 8th grader....me, not the best looking 7th grader. Oh junior high...
